There is many different results to animal testing. Many people have different opinions on animal testing as well. Some people think its not good and not right. others say "What else could they test on?" So what would you say on animal testing.
With all the different opinions, reasons, and results sometimes it can be good and sometimes not so good. It depends on what the test is for, because what its to help save lives of animals or humans. The thing that surprised me in a article I read " Why America Should Ban Animal Testing" was how it talked about a collage using minks in its biology labs instead of cadavers, or deceased human beings who decide while living to donate there bodies to science and education. the minks coast around ten dollars a piece while they are already dead. If the human and animal is dead there might be different tests for both.
Also in the article it gives a lot of examples in it. Some was about the animals that get tested. Another example was how animals could get harmed from the testing. There was some expert opinions in the article as well. One is how the article gave strong opinions on what they think or know about the animals, also why the animals shouldn't be tested on. This is an expert opinion because many people could agree or disagree with the opinions that he article gives.
The article had some convincing things in it too. There was many things in the article that was convincing in the article, like how it talks about the animals being marvelous creatures who like on the Earth with us. They are marvelous creatures. That wasn't the only thing that was convincing there was another thing and it was how they give a a lot of examples and opinions about the animals.
The thing that was questionable in the article was how it said,"Humans tend arrogantly to cast animals aside as inferior, and thus find it okay to cause animals pain for there own benefit..." They don't hurt the animals on purpose Also they do care for the animals. The test they do is for there job and some might not even like having to do the tests on the animals. That is what was questionable for me not just because of that but also because they didn't even ask the scientist who have to do the test on the animals think about it. If they did ask them they could get a lot more answers for things in their article. This is why animal testing could be good or not so good.
I think you make some fair points. Lots of times people try to characterize scientists as these evil beings, but many of them are probably just making a difficult choice: sacrifice animals for the good of humanity.
