Recently I have read an article that talks about weather or not schools need to have P.E. Personally I don't think P.E is necessary. Of course some people will disagree with that and say that its helps you stay fit and a bunch of other things like that. P.E is a complete waste of time and the teachers are way to strict. They have many unfair rules. Students also never get to have any fun activities or games.
One of the reasons why we should not have P.E is because it actually has no point. Now some people might say that it helps you stay fit and decreases child obesity. It actually doesn't because all we do is run around in circles. Either way kids are going to get the exercise they need because they are always active and moving around. Anyways, if parents have a problem with there children being obese then maybe the parents should set a better example on how to eat healthier. P.E won't even help you stay fit because we only have so much time in a class period.
Another reason why we should not have P.E is mostly because of the teachers. Teachers are not really that fair. For example most teachers come out later than students and the students that are late still get in trouble. Teachers are way to strict ,they tell you to try your best and when you do it is still not good enough. Most of the time that students have in P.E is mostly boring because teachers can't or won't come up with really fun games.
So , there you have all the logical reasons why we shouldn't have P.E.
You have quite a few reasons that, if true, really would make PE a major bummer. However, one thing you say that does not seem to be supported by evidence is: "Either way, kids are going to get the exercise they need because they are always active and moving around." Do you have any evidence for this claim? The statistics from the NASPE article we read directly contradicts this statement.
